Pricing Menu for Common Tile Projects

So, here's the deal

Traditional contractor/client price negotiations are usually a very inefficient process that begins something like this:

Client: "How much do you typically charge for [insert project description here]?"

Contractor: "I dunno, it depends a lot on [insert several opaque and idiosyncratic factors here]."

And, from there, lots of time often gets spent negotiating pricing, payment terms, etc etc.

My process is different

I don't like wasting time, and assume that other folks don't either. So, I work for efficiency and transparency in every project starting right from the beginning. For example, the labor cost for every project I do is fixed and guaranteed beforehand, there are no up-front charges or deposits, and the final invoice for each completed project includes all the receipts for out-of-pocket materials costs.

My clients get certainty with fixed-cost pricing and peace of mind with payment due only when the project is actually done.

There's literally a pricing menu

To make this whole process even more straightforward, here is a labor and install materials pricing menu for common tile projects. Ideally, I'd be able to offer a completely fixed-cost menu for every project type. But, for truly custom tile services, there are still a few variables that make specific projects somewhat more or less labor intensive.

But there aren't so many variables that a transparent and straightforward bath and kitchen remodel contractor can't offer at least a range of pricing for typical projects like shower, tub surround, backsplash, and other tile installs.

Because this saves everyone time and effort!

Traditional bath remodeling contractors who work on volume and who often work to take advantage of market inefficiencies often price projects based on zip code or neighborhood. However, the labor install costs on just about any tile project is affected by only relatively few factors (square footage obviously, but also tile type and some other design considerations). Because, uniform building codes and invariant material limitations.

As a craftsman tile installer who works solo, my labor pricing is based solely on how long it takes me to complete a job and move on to the next project. So, hopefully even this general pricing intel can help your contractor comparison shopping and project wish list prioritization.

And, if you have a COMPLETELY unique project:

If it's similar to a previous custom project described in my blog, then a detailed email can probably get you a quick quote.

Otherwise, just call for a phone chat and a price!
